Bears Comparison

Warning: the pictures may be slow to load.
Milkwood (left) and Staheli Brill were made from the same pattern (one of my own). What makes them such different bears?

------------------------------------------------

The mohair, to begin with. Milkwood's is natural "string" mohair and Staheli's is very short, sparse, and "distressed." The stuffing makes a big difference, too, in how each bear turns out. Milkwood is stuffed with modern "poly" fluff, whereas Staheli is full of excelsior (wood wool) just like the real old-fashioned teddies.
