Comments: Growing up, I was told by numerous people, including doctors, counselors, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other psychos, that I wasn't going to be able to do much because of my mild autism and depression. Hmm, I wonder if their choice line of work is still paying dividends for them today. My family was in denial that I was autistic, that the "doctors lied to me at an early age." But, I'm old enough to know who I am and what makes me, well, me. I don't think much about my accomplishments over the years, because there is so much more that I want to do with my life it's poposterous (sp?). However, if you can dream in your dark bedroom at night while rocking yourself to the music, then you can make it happen when other people tell you, "You can't do it because (of some lame excuse)." And because of how I think today, I love myself more than at any point in my entire life. Well, having a good job, a new car, and the first apartment does kind of help, and no, I don't love myself "in that kind of manner," thank you very much, heh. Thanks for clicking on the picture and taking the valuable five minutes of reading my excerpt.
